The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 offers four available powertrains, which include: a 2.7-liter Turbo, 5.3-liter V8, 6.2-liter V8, and a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel. The 3.0-liter six-cylinder received a 4,000-pound increase in towing capability, bringing it up to 13,300 pounds. The ZR2 features a 6.2-liter V8 engine, which produces 420 horsepower. Additionally, the innovative Super Cruise feature delivers hands-free driver assistance technology that manages speed and steering on more than 200,000 miles of compatible roads in the U.S. and Canada.
The 2022 Ford F-150 utilizes several powertrains: a 3.3-liter V6 that produces 290 horsepower, a 5.0-liter V8 that generates 400 horsepower, a twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6 that pumps out 325 horsepower, twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 that generates 400 horsepower, and a 3.0-liter diesel V6 that records 250 horsepower. The F-150 comes paired with a 10-speed automatic. The 3.3-liter V6 can tow up to 8,200 pounds. The 400-horsepower twin-turbo 3.5-liter can tow up to 14,000 pounds; the 5.0-liter can tow up to 13,000 pounds, and the diesel V6 can tow up to 12,100 pounds.
The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 can be equipped with a plethora of smart safety and driver assistance features, including Forward Collision Alert, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, and Following Distance Indicator, among others.
