GM-Certified Multi-Point Inspections

Giving customers a quality inspection is about accurately assessing primary components to achieve enhanced reliability and safety while reducing long-term maintenance costs. We do this with GM-certified service completed by certified technicians with direct training and experience maintaining vehicles just like yours. Here is a sample of what’s included in the GM-certified multi-point inspection report card:

• Primary Systems – We evaluate the steering, suspension, engine, transmission, engine cooling, exhaust, and onboard diagnostic systems.
• Fluids – Technicians assess fluid conditions and levels. Fluids found at a lower capacity than factory specifications are replenished.
• Filters – We check the cabin air and engine air filters to ensure that they are not clogged with debris.
• Brakes – Technicians evaluate the braking components and measure the brake pads to ensure low risk with sufficient thickness remaining.
• Tires – We evaluate the tires for rapid and uneven wear, measure the tread depth, and check the air pressures.
• Controls and Lights – Technicians ensure that cabin controls work and the exterior lights all function as expected.
• Battery – We evaluate battery health with an inspection that includes electrical testing.

When Should I Get Multi-Point Inspections?

We recommend getting a multi-point vehicle inspection alongside other services, such as tire rotations and oil changes. Inspections are also recommended at minor/major service intervals found in the owner’s manual. Those that choose not to get proactive inspections will need to schedule in response to performance issues that need to be diagnosed.
